Custom made from clear acrylic, Invisalign aligners gradually shift teeth into proper position. The aligners can be removed when you want to eat, clean your teeth, or for special occasions. Your unique treatment plan prescribed by Dr. Layton will include a full series of custom Invisalign aligners, and you will wear each one for a few weeks before moving to the next. While you won't need "adjustment appointments" as you would with traditional braces, Dr. Layton will want to assess your progress every six weeks. Invisalign therapy generally takes 12 to 18 months and is ideal for patients who have worn braces in the past and want to realign teeth that have gradually moved out of position.
